Rescue Drive Case Study
I manage the software tooling for 3000 Healthcare Field Service Engineers in North America. They service many kinds of medical equipment, and consequently have over 100 custom applications installed on their laptops. It can take an FSE weeks to recover from a PC failure, costing our company thousands in lost revenue. We wanted a backup product that could clone drives to USB, handle disk encryption on source and destination, boot from the USB backup drive, and restore the clone to another PC. Rescue Drive was the only product that met all our needs, and it works beautifully. Now our FSEs can continue to work, even if their drive fails or becomes corrupted, and until a replacement drive arrives. And they don’t even need to setup the replacement – just perform a full-system recovery from the booted Rescue Drive.

PCs with or without a TPM chip are supported by Rescue Drive. In addition to a password, a BitLocker recovery key can be created and stored to Active Directory. Rescue Drive Site License tools support automatically setting passwords for users, and can enforce use of encryption for all users.
Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune bring the power of the intelligent cloud to Windows 10 device management, including Rescue Drive with BitLocker. For more information please see the following:
